The Marketing Chair at the EMAC Fall Conference

From September 16 to 18, the University of Bremen served as a gathering place for marketing researchers from around the world. The EMAC Fall Conference 2026 took place there under the theme "Mind the Gap – Marketing Relevance in a Technology-Driven World.” Among the attendees was Dr. Sertan Eravci, who presented a joint research project with Prof. Dr. Sascha Alavi.
The presentation focused on the topic of sales channel management in B2B markets. It addressed the question of how companies can successfully design and manage their sales channels in a B2B environment. The conference offered far more than just an opportunity to present his own research project. The intensive exchange with other researchers provided valuable insights and concrete feedback for the project’s further development.
Even outside the academic sessions, personal interaction took center stage. Sertan took the opportunity to reconnect with familiar colleagues and long-standing contacts, discuss current developments in research, and make new connections.
In addition to presenting his own research project, the conference provided a space for new perspectives, in-depth discussions, and personal exchanges with researchers from various countries. The insights gained are now being incorporated into the ongoing work on the research project.
