At the beginning of this month, the marketing team welcomed Prof. Philip J. Rosenberger III, Ph.D., from the University of Newcastle, Australia, for a short research visit. The professorship of marketing has been working with Mr. Rosenberger for many years, which has led to several publications in international journals. The cooperation has also led to Prof. Holzmüller being appointed Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle for five years. The joint research areas are sport marketing, loyalty of soccer fans, online consumer engagement and tourism research. Only recently, a cross-cultural study on the loyalty of soccer fans was published in cooperation with Dr. Sören Köcher from the professorship, based on data from Australia, Brazil and Germany.
