Project seminar "Sportstadt Dortmund" - A cooperation with the City of Dortmund, Sparkasse Dortmund and LG Olympia Dortmund

For a long time, the city of Dortmund has been known in particular for its soccer club. But what about other local sports institutions? On the initiative of the City of Dortmund, the Sparkasse Dortmund and the LG Olympia Dortmund, the Professorship of Marketing is addressing the relevant question of how the city of Dortmund can be established as a "sports city". This cooperation offers the students an exciting opportunity to empirically investigate various questions around the topic "positioning of a sports city". With the help of good-practice analyses, explorative interviews and experiments, different facets will be unveiled and strategies for the successful establishment as a sports city will be derived.
